State of War Game

In 2001, Stefan Pavelka, together with Emil Popovič, founded Cypron Studios and created the real-time strategy game State of War (2001). Stefan Pavelka designed the entire game mechanics, including 2D and 3D graphics and animation, while Emil Popovič was responsible for the complete single-player and multiplayer programming, including the networking systems that enabled LAN gameplay. The game became Stefan’s most internationally recognized RTS title, known under different names across various markets:

A key feature that contributed to the game’s popularity was its LAN multiplayer mode, which allowed players to engage in competitive and cooperative gameplay across networks. In 2003, the standalone mission sequel State of War: Warmonger was released, adding new missions and expanding the original experience.

Cube Life: Island Survival

In 2015, under the leadership of Stefan Pavelka, Cypronia released Cube Life: Island Survival (June 2015), a sandbox survival game that quickly became one of the most popular Minecraft-like games on the Nintendo Wii U. Game reached #1 on the European, #2 in the American, and #3 in the Japanese Nintendo eShop charts—achievements made even more notable as they occurred prior to the official release of Minecraft on the Wii U console in December 2015. The Wii U version included online multiplayer, allowing players to collaborate and compete over the internet. The game was later ported to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Android, expanding its audience across multiple platforms.

The game allows players to explore a vast open-world island, gather resources, craft tools, build shelters, and survive against environmental challenges and hostile creatures. Its combination of creative freedom and survival mechanics made it highly engaging for players of all ages.

Cube Life: Island Survival showcases Stefan Pavelka’s ability to take oportunities across genres and platforms, and reflects his personal involvement in all projects released by Cypronia.
